Definition of a Healthy Schools Committee

"Creating a small group who is actively engaged in leading and coordinating actions including teachers, non teaching staff, students, parents and community members".

Health Promoting Schools Committees begin well if the workload is shared and all key groups are involved in decision making and implementation. It is essential to have a number of students and parents participating and that their ideas are respected.
